Immaculate Apio shares her story

Video: "What I learnt from the group meetings"

December 14, 2020

Immaculate Apio shares her story from Uganda about what she learnt about pregnancy and women’s health from the community health group meetings that she attended. These health groups use a technique called PLA - Participatory Learning Action - where women identify their local health problems and concerns, and come up with solutions to them. This approach to community health is pioneered and championed by Women and Children First.

Thank you to all our supporters in 2020, whose kind donations and generosity has enabled us to help more women like Immaculate Apio and her children to both survive and thrive.
